The cost of a ramp will vary from project to project. For example, a standard, straight Rapid Ramp will start from £2,500. Quotations can be subject to site survey reports, and VAT exemptions apply.

Wooden and concrete ramps are designed as one-use systems. Once they have served their purpose, they are broken up and thrown away, which is costly in labour and waste disposal.
Unlike other materials, steel Rapid Ramps can be recycled, reused, or redesigned multiple times to suit varied space sizes and applications. For example, if drain access is specified in your next project, a hatch section can be included in the reconfiguration of the ramp.
You can ultimately reduce your long-term expenses by investing in a reusable Rapid Ramp.
Wooden ramps do not have great longevity due to their ability to rot and become slippery from water exposure. The material will also burn in the event of a fire; which is a health and safety consideration.
Alternatively, steel is a non-combustible material that will not burn and melt at temperatures typically encountered in building fires. It is also slip-resistant due to the self-draining mesh surface that allows water to pass through instead of puddling and freezing.
Rapid Ramp components are manufactured from galvanised steel. Galvanising is a process where a protective coating of zinc is applied to prevent rusting, increasing the product's longevity.
All systems come with a 3-year guarantee and an assured life span of over 25 years.
A standard ramp has a typical lead time between 2-4 weeks from the point of order. However, this is subject to change.
A ramp that needs to be ‘DDA compliant’ or ‘compliant with Part M & K’ will have an increased price compared to a standard Rapid Ramp with no extras. However, the lead time is the same, typically between 2-4 weeks from the point of order.
All extras shown are a separate cost, and lead times vary, as these items are manufactured on demand and not stocked regularly.
Please state in your enquiry if you require any optional extras. Contact us by filling in the quick quote form or emaling [email protected] with your information, including the project address, drawings, photos, and contact details.
GRP - A slip-resistant and non-corrosive surface that is ideal for areas with high footfall such as schools and public spaces. The product comes in dark grey as standard.
Rubber Crumb - This is a soft, slip-resistant surface that reduces the impact of falls.
The product is made from the same materials used in soft play areas and is ideal for nurseries, schools, and public facilities. Plus, it is available in a range of colours and will continue to perform in all weather conditions.
Solid Underside Hoarding - This mesh is designed to prevent children from gaining access to the underneath of the ramp.
It is often specified for schools and public buildings.
Specification Includes:
• Pre-painted sheets of aluminium sheets with a solid polyethene core.
• Black as standard.
Standard Underside Mesh Hoarding - This mesh is designed to prevent children from gaining access to the underneath of the ramp.
It is often specified for schools and public buildings.
Specification Includes:
• Mesh size 200 x 50mm
• 33.7mm OD Single mesh clip
Fine Underside Mesh Hoarding - This mesh has 20mm x 20mm small square holes, designed to stop litter from blowing underneath the ramp.
Rapid Ramp comes in black as standard; however, you can choose a custom colour to match your requirement.
All we require is your RAL colour number. A colour chart can identify this.
This handrail is designed to be used by young children and wheelchair users.
The handrail should be 600mm from the surface of the system.
A Rapid Ramp can be as long and wide as required. Plus, it can be designed in many different configurations to suit multiple spaces.
The final measurements will impact the price of the ramp.
Please note that a fully compliant ramp for public applications must achieve a minimum width of 1500mm and often ramps for public use (whether to a building or space) can accomplish a minimum ramp gradient of 1:15 or a 1:20 gradient is frequently specified.
A dwelling ramp purchased via the council must have a gradient no less than 1:12 (4.7 degrees) and minimum width of 900mm, as stated in Documents M and K of the Building Regulations.
Widths Available:
Alongside our modular metal ramps, we also provide our widely used and specified modular steps. Again, compliant and standard versions are available.
