AXA International House
Public Building
Tunbridge Wells, Kent
REQUIREMENT:
Our objective was to design and construct a permanent modular ramp within a quick turnaround time and provide disabled users easy access to the courtyard.
The customer ruled out using a concrete ramp because it has a time-consuming installation process, which often results in days of disruption due to the necessary drying time. Moreover, concrete installations cannot be completed during rainy or snowy conditions.
CAD DRAWINGS:
During the site survey, a lidar scanner was used to photograph and digitally map the entire area, including the building, various ground levels, and any obstacles. This technology allows us to conduct site surveys swiftly, even under tight time constraints.
Once the data was collected, our in-house drawing team was able to generate a 3D representation of the ramp on top of an accurate depiction of the real location.
END RESULT:
Our installation team efficiently fitted a compliant ramp in under 24 hours. The system meets the requirements of Part M and K of the Building Regulations.
FEATURES INCLUDED:
- Infill Handrail - This product safeguards against users climbing or falling through gaps.
