A portable ramp is an easily removable system that provides temporary wheelchair access over a small step, kerb or entrance into a car. The product is mostly used when a fixed ramp solution such a modular ramp is not required. Portable ramps are made from a variety of materials, e.g. plastic, rubber or aluminium.

Portable ramps can wobble if the surface their laying on is uneven or unstable, which can cause the user to trip or become unbalanced. Due to this, ensure the surface is flat and even.

Metal Folding Channel Ramp 

Folding ramps are designed to be easy to fold and store away when unrequired. Similarly to the previous portable ramps, they provide temporary access over steps and kerbs.

Do I need a fixed or heavy duty portable ramp?

In some cases,yes. A modular ramp is often required for more complex projects such as:

  • Public spaces with high levels of footfall.
