Can ramps be installed over tree roots?

We advise making use of the QuadraPile System from QuadraBuild Ltd. Two suggested options:

1. QuadraPile foundations with steel top plates to take the ramp legs - this is completely concrete-free and can avoid excavation.
2. QuadraPile foundations with small concrete caps to take the ramp legs - this uses a small amount of concrete with a small excavation.

If there are particularly sensitive areas on a site, then steel beams can be used to bridge across these areas and support the ramp feet.

The small diameter QuadraPile helical piles are installed deeper than the roots, and the ramp is supported above the roots so that the structure is protected from future growth of the roots.

The system has been successfully used near protected trees for ramps and elevated platforms.

Supply & Installation

An all-inclusive, stress-free option that we manage in-house with our own installation teams across the UK. 

This package includes a site survey (if applicable), quotation, 3D CAD drawings, supply, and installation.

Supply Only

No site survey is included, but a quotation with 3D CAD drawings are provided with a copy of our installation video.

As a manufacturer and stockist, you will find our delivery times are much faster!

Ramp Rental

Temporary steps are available for long or short-term hire.

Once no longer required, the system will be removed, leaving the area in its original condition.
